Nome Island

The area know as Nome Island actually consist of three separate built up areas.  There is Tas Bardon, Richard Briganda, Earl of Galinia's main holding. Giantsferry, situated on the north east side of the fjord and providing a transit point out towards Angasa.  Southferry is a similar transit point and village on the other, less traveled  side of the fjord.  As part of the Earl's personal demesne it provides the administrative center for the region, and is  heavily controlled.  All three communities are required to follow an agricultural  regime as  described by Peter the Librarian,  hunting, trapping and  fishing is  licensed  and controlled under the same guidelines.

Tas Bardon
Tas Bardon is Richard Briganda, Earl Galina's stronghold.  As well as  his small castle it holds an administrative block with offices for the state herald and librarian, as well as his scribes and clerks.  The is a small guard contingent tasked with ceremonial and guard duties.  Two round houses house the indoors and outdoors staff and there is a ware hose come barn for storing goods and supplies.  Slightly inland are a few small fields and stock pens to provide delicacies  for The Earl's table.  Tas Bardon

Giantsferry
Giantsferry is named after the giant who was resident when Richard Briganda claimed the land.  It  holds a small earthwork fort with buildings and stables inside to house a guard contingent, the Toriff, and  the main stables for Tas Bardon.  Farmers and fishers, and trappers live in huts along the  road leading down to the quay, and provide much of the sustenance required for Tas Bardon.  Giantsferry

Southferry
Southferry is also a small fishing and farming community, but without the fortified earthworks of Giantsferry.  Here the Toriff and her  staff live in a  newly constructed complex. While not as sophisticated it also houses a small guard contingent and  horses for use by people from Tas Bardon.  Southferry
