Hearing the howls from behind, Rolf quickly decides to abandon his original plan and head back down the trail after the others. But even then there is tension and ill feeling as Ravn makes the point that his earlier advice was ignored, by his whole look and demeanour as well as his words. Edgar flies off back down the trail , trying to act both as a scout and a marker for his companions as Yuri stops Rolf with his proposal to go on alone in search of Corellon. Even now, there is no concerted effort and time is awaiting as Yuri's question is considered.

As Rolf leads the others, he let's Yuri's request mull about his thoughts for a moment and his pace falter. "No," he says at last, his voice only slightly winded. "I think it best we not get any more spread out than we are already. We'll rejoin with the others, take the extra time and seek out Corellon together."

"Sure", comes Yuri's reply immediately after Rolf's 'no'.

Ravn had stared with disbelief at what seemed to him either full-proof folly or a death wish when Yuri suggested to follow the elf's lure. Now, when Rolf appears to have a the wiser choice, the Runecaster continues onward with renewed confidence, staying close to the Constable as they go.
