132 - Tidy Up [edit] [delete] Admin
The weary travelers, well all of them but Corellon, gather on the pathway, with Rolf- trying to work out what to do next. Rolf’s decision is to push on, and no one argues except to talk about rescuing the lizard in the pit. As Kerim starts to rearrange the good on the mules and using one of them to drag the Doghead bodies to the pit and to toss them in, Pausing to accept Ravn’s healing magics as the rune priest calls them to his aid, he heeds Rolfs advice and prepares to load the wounded instead.. Callum, still sits quietly after his exertions, barely raising a smile and only managing a brief “Thanks ..” to Ravn as he is healed. And Selina lays prostrate still as Peter and Elsbeth bend over her trying to see if they can get her conscious again, but there are no wounds to pack with healing agents, and it would see that nothing short of divine blessings will work after Peter’s attempts have already failed.. With a small effort Callum can be encouraged to sit astride the mule, and can hold his position with ease. Selina, on the other hand is still relatively limp, and doesn’t seem to respond when encouraged to hold on. Edgar realises that he cant see over to where the doghead dropped his rods, because the mists are still in the way, although they are starting to dissipate, and he can not see where Corellon is. He will have to take to the air if he wants more information. Mandrake beats at the flames with his branch, but the fire is big and getting bigger, although Mandrake is managing to keep one side of it in check. Corellon still hides trying to make up his mind whether to attack or not. (See last weeks thread) OOC: and now I am reduced to a laptop with a 9" screen. It will sort itself out ... Deeds and damsels [edit] [delete] Ravn Ashengrey
Ravn, his healing chores finished, turns to offer Rolf his advice. "Constable, I fear we be wasting effort quenching this fire when, instead, we should be seeking shelter against retribution from the rest of the dogheads. It would seem their leader escaped but we should probably expect his return - in force." He looks at the brave gnome battling the flames, a most uneven match it seems. "Now, Rolf, I have powers to shield someone with better skill than our short associate at fire fighting but if this is the extent of our ability I will not waste my powers lest they drain my strength." While Rolf considers the situation, Ravn turns his head to look at the unconscious girl. So that is the Earl's personal and specially assigned body guard - a fainting damsel. By the grace of the Valkyries! I wonder if the Earl sent her with us to rid himself and his hird of the worry..? tsk, tsk He casts a brief glance at Elsbeth's figure, his eyes savouring the soft curve of her buttocks as she crouches by Selina. Then, as the druidess notices his stare and returns it with one of her own (albeit one of more bewilderment) his check redden and he returns his attention to the situation at hand and the Constable's orders. "Well, Rolf, what is your command?"

Edgar too waits for the Contstable's orders, though his eyes stray to where the mists slowly dissipate. OOC: Good luck at Boot Camp, Elsbeth ! :>
Carry the injured [edit] [delete] Peter Gasgano
Peter won't let Kerim just dangle Selina across the mule, but seats he on it properly, and then piles bages around her legs and thighs to help keep her in place. Leaning her forward across a bag place infront of her, he lightly secures her wrists around themules neck, with a length of cloth. "There. That should hold her ...."" he comments as he surveys his handywork. Taking the mule reins as requested he follows Kerim. "You want me to hold them both while you sort the lizard out?" he asks the trader.
Stirs... [edit] [delete] Selina
Selina stirs slightly as Peter and Kerim man handle her on to the mule ... "Ahhhhhh" she sighs gently.
Flames first [edit] [delete] Rolf
Rolf looks a bit shocked as Ravn suggests the fire be left as is. To leave the flames alone invites the ruination of the countryside. Fire was a useful tool of man, but a tool that must be used responsibly. "We can't leave flames unchecked behind us or we may end up spoiling the lands worse than the dogheads." He looks about to most anyone hale enough for a bit of effort and not otherwise engaged (Elsbeth, Meeleek, Ravn and Yuri), "Let's see to the flames, then we can get out of here."

"As you wish, Constable." Ravn, ignoring the tone of blame in Rolf's voice, begins helping out with the fire fighting as best he can.
Go no further! [edit] [delete] Meeleek El'Wakhad
Meeleek responds to Rolf's order, and circling the burning bush, starts throwing dirt and stumping any flames that might spread. This one is probably gone, he thinks to himself.
Fire fighting and packing up [edit] [delete] Mandrake
Mandrake continues his onslaught on the flames, stopping when they are out or when Rolf tells them to. He then makes ready to move out, but not without first heading straight to where he saw Edgar/Alhevro drop the bars to collect them. OOC: I'm off Monday to lie on a beach in the Dominican Republic for a couple of weeks sipping alcoholic beverages, reading fantasy novels, play a few rounds of golf and perhaps occasionally stepping into the sea to partake of the water sports. If I can persuade the misses that spending a while on the computer whilst on holiday is not “just like being at home” then I may post, but no promises ;-)
Bah [edit] [delete] Corellon Amastacia
Deciding that he can possibly rid the world of one more doghead, Corellon, short sword in hand, waits for the doghead to fall far behind, and then rushes up behind it, still trying for a surprise attack. If the doghead somehow hears him, he will still initiate combat, but a bit more cautiously.
