Yuri steps forward trying to get inside the swing of the doghead, and almost makes it as the doghead extends its reach and clouts him on the leg. (Yuri 3 points damage) However the dogheads extension leaves his flank unprotected and Yuri's falchion crashes down against its side, slicing straight through to the bone. As Yuri, drags the blade trough the wound and clear, the doghead falls a way to die, a confused look in its eyes. Callum, Peter and Kerim (once he realise his own wolf is dead) all converge on the one over Selina. First it is knocked back by Peter's shield, and the Kerim's blades strike, followed by Callum's massive blade, as he runs past. The bloodied and battered corpse of the wolf is thrown well clear of any combat and Peter and Kerim are left almost stunned by the viciousness of the big Celt's attack, as Selina rolls around on the ground between them. Next Ravn, Rolf and Elsbeth all converge on the hapless doghead, defending himself only with a bow stave. Ravn's two handed blow slices into one leg, while Rolf's overhead shot takes it in the shoulder, as Elsbeth's round house blow severs its arm. Dead from the shock as much as the damage sustained, it collapses into a heap limbs hanging off at all sorts of impossible angles. Corellon, finally able to see again, starts pinging arrows into the entangled dogheads as Meeleek screams a warning to Callum about the doghead leader, almost directly in front of him. Mandrake almost giggles as he moves his illusionary self back a little, watching the two dogheads roll on the floor biting and clawing at each other. Their original purpose all but forgotten.

Screaming
Alhevro
Screaming and leaping up and down in rage, Alhevro completes a short chant and waves his metal rods at Callum ... Suddenly a small ball of purple shot green flame flies from his rods and strikes Callum squarely in the chest, splashing off to each side and starting small fires in the grass. (callum 3 points damage)
Selina ...
Peter Gasgano
Recovering from his attack on the doghead, Peter discards his shield and bends to look as Selina's wounds, hands automatically reaching for the bandages and herbs in his pouch. "What the ..." he exclaims, sitting back on his heels, as he sees the wounds start to close by themselves.
Regroup
Rolf
Rolf, heartened by the quick reversal, waves at the others. "Over here! To me, To me!" He calls, not yet aware of Selina's predicament. His hope, that they can put down the leader and his brood before the others are freed of the entangling undergrowth. OOC: Jim, the doghead between Rolf, Elsbeth and Ravn is slain as well, right?
...grrrrrrrhh...
Ravn Ashengrey
Ravn stands panting ove the lifeless carcass of the unisonly slain doghead, looking at the two- and fourlegged targets in front of him. His first instinct is to draw another deep breath and charge them unhesitatntly, but something remotely familiar about their shapes holds him back for a heartbeat or two. Then, his bloodshot eye catches signs of movement in the bushes ahead, accompanied by loud yelping and growling, and without thinking he rushes off in that direction, his blood still boiling with divine rage. "RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRHHGHLLL!!!" He rushes past Mandrake, not even noticing the short fellow hiding in the shrubbery, and falls upon the preoccupied dogheads with foaming fervor, madly hacking away at the twain opponents like there was no tomorrow. "ARRGHL!" *chop* "HNNGH!" *hack* "GRRGH!" *chop* For the two dogheads, it seems, there isn't.
I wouldn't do that ...
Edgar
From the safety of his perch, Edgar winces as Alhevro's spell strikes Callum - not from the pain it causes the big warrior, nor that the raven had fled the dogsheads and was unable to prevent it, but from what Callum's expected reaction will be, and how the dogsheads will regret their actions ...
Yes sir!
Kerim Alakani
: Kerim, caught in Callum's slipstream, so to speak, whirls around slightly, taking in Peter's surprise. He too looks incredulously at Selina, moving subconciously away from her with his swords forward defencively, just a touch suspicious and superstitious. Grateful is he when but a few seconds later Rolf calls for reinforcements. And thus keen to be away from the un-natural, and ignoring his wounds, he rushes over to aid Rolf. As he does so he casts a worried eye over the entangled dogheads.
Reversed ambush?
Yuri
Yuri decides to make a break to the south rather than back down the path, in an attempt to swing out wide and catch any dogheads firing onto the path from behind. With falchion in hand Yuri runs south then east along the edge of the bush.
Feelings of guilt
Mandrake
As Ravn charges into the afray, Mandrake feels for the doghead that he has fooled, even though the creature would surely have killed him had it still the chance and reasoning to do so. If it survives the first wave of the onslaught, Mandrake will cause illusion to try to lead the fellow into the cover near him whilst Ravn dispatches his friend. Other wise, Mandrake makes his way through the bushes towards the cries of Rolf.
