41 stunned ....

By JohnB

The common room of the cup is in confusion. Elsbeth and then Madelyn have come up and put both Callum and Herloch in their place, and the two big men look at each other in surprise for a moment, before looking away.

In the cup the elders are slightly shocked and confused by the outburst, and Peter looks somewhat embarrassed before slipping away to the farmers. Callum and Herloch are standing just inside the door and Rolf just outside.

The two women have gone storming off into the distance ....

Looking up Smilo can see one of the girls from earlier, at the window, beckoning him outside ....

Tempest

By Brad
who plays Rolf

Rolf sighs, watching the two ladies face down the two big men from the doorway. The two don't seem to need any interference from him, so he merely stands and watches things progress. He then holds the door politely as the two women leave. He watches the two for a moment before moving near the two men, a pleasant expression on his face as he manfully blocks the smirk from reaching his face.

"There seems nothing left to be said aside from a caution. Don't anger those who'll be watching your back, it might tend to sprout knives." He takes a moment to see the results of his comment, then nods and leaves the inn in the wake of the two ladies.

Catching sign of them from a distance, he sees Elsbeth overcome with emotion. He decides that for the moment, he'll not embarass her with his presence.

Talk of cowardly acts

By Joe
who plays Herloch

Rolf warns Herloch by saying, "There seems nothing left to be said aside from a caution. Don't anger those who'll be watching your back, it might tend to sprout knives."

As Herloch notices Rolf awaiting a reply, he drops his hands to his sides and says, "To stab one in the back without warning is the act of a coward. Those who do so have no honor and deserve no respect."

He leaves the inn and starts a slow walk down the street away from the others. Oh how he wishes to spend less time in these useless conversations and more in the field of battle, glorifying Thor.

ohh!

who plays Peter

Peter watches the bye play with concern on his face before heading off to join the farmers.

A long wait

By Daren
who plays Mandrake

Away from the ears of the locals Mandrake speaks to Rolf "I don't know that I want to stay here for three months, were as likely to meet it earlier if we are travelling I'd think."

Too long of a wait

By Brad
who plays Rolf

Rolf nods to Mandrake, "Aye, I can't see us sitting about for three months. I'd rather plan on trying to be back in this area then rather than wait. Still a day or two won't hurt, no?"

Confused

By lechrist
who plays Elsbeth

Elsbeth holds her head in her hands, crying. "Gods and Goddesses, creatures of dark and light, forest and sea. Tell me I'm doing right. Tell me I'm doing right for Madelyn, for Rolf, for me." Her shoulders shake. "Tell me if I'm not a druid, not ready for... for..." Her voice trails off.

"Tell me what I am, why I'm here," she whispers.

Smilo

By Jim
who plays Smilo Hairfoot

"scuse me," said Smilo to the group, I'll be back in a minute.

"Ladies," he said, with a bow and a sweep of his hat. "Seems the village is safe for the minute, me and my mates are ard on the case. It's no doubt a terrible beasty, one that will only met its end by great acts o heroism and daring." He straightens his shoulders. "Not to worry, I'm up to it."

well Smilo .....

By JohnB

As Smilo gets out side he immediately spots that only one of the girls, Candida, is there - and she is holding a couple of bottles of ale and a package that could be sandwiches tied up in a cloth ..

"Ohhh, I'm glad you and your mates are on the case, Smilo, but I'm still scared and I've got to goout to the fields again. If I stay in the village I will get into real trouble. But I'm too scared to go out there on my own. Would you take me? I'd feel safe then." There is a short pause and then she holds up the cloth wrapped parcel "I know you could share my lunch. " She smiles brightly.

Now his attention is distracted from the ale and food, he notices that the top buttons on Candy's shirt have come undone, and that the wild flowers in her hair look really nice today ...

Smilo's Reply

By Jim
who plays Smilo Hairfoot

"Ahh... Errr.. Ummm..."

Strange Creatures!

By malc
who plays Callum

Callum looks after the women in puzzlement as they storm out. He thought he had been sticking up for Elsbeth - well, Druids in general really, and the lass seemed to have some idea - in front of the loud-mouthed cleric. Ach well, the lass could fight her own battles in future and if the cleric ended up with his bedroll full of ants or down by the pond sitting on a lily-pad, well that wasn't his problem.

Oh Please ....

"Oh, Please...." says Candy, reaching for Smilo's hand ...

What to Trade?

By David
who plays Kerim

After watching both Elsbeth & Madelyn, Kerim makes a mental note not to cross either of them!

Seeing Rolf make no obvious move to leave the village, Smilo making friends with the local lasses & the two women obviously wanting to be alone, he goes to inspect the trade goods in vain to see if there is anything he can trade.
