By John who plays The Ref

More Doghead scum

OOC: Tonight there was a pool competition. I lost the main competition and then lost the second competition designed to make the losers feel better. I guess I can’t play pool. :)
Have a good Christmas folks! I will try and post next Monday but who can tell at this time of the yeart ...

The chaos of battle happens all around, people swing and miss, and move themselves into better positions, seemingly at random. One of the dogheads charges towards the Mules, the other fires his bow and one of the arrows, again, strikes Aenis. This time the arrow hits true and enters the eye socket, and embeds itself in the back of his skull. Aenis gives one last convulsive jerk and falls back dead. The second arrow strikes the ground just beyond his head.

Peter’s wolf strikes for 5 points of damage,. Rolf’s wolf misses, but Kerim’s strikes for 2 points, Madelyn’s wolf leaps towards her but is put off by Keldon’s movements.

By Malcolm who plays Callum

Charge!

Callum looks around and sees a doghead standing unentangled and free. He rushes for it once again swinging the sword in a huge arc, smashing into the Doghead.

OOC:The one at (P,q). Needed 9, Rolled 19 (21 if I get 2 for charging:-) Damage 19. Sorry for the brevity of the post, my life is currently a hell of Year 2000 compliance reports from users.

By Sharon who plays Madelyn

Wounded Wolf!

Madelyn regains her composure and strikes again ... this time hitting home for 7 points of damage

OOC: Have a wonderful Christmas everyone ... hope Santa brings you everything you wanted :o)

By Brad who plays Rolf

Hey, Rolfs best hit yet :)

OOC: Hey John, does Rolf get anything special for the natural 20? Rolf is still attacking the wolf at M/N,l.

Rolf dodges to the left, almost surprised that the teeth snap close on empty air. Rearing back, he swings a backhand slash at the wolf, following it up with a vicious chop with the axe. The sword swings wide, (needed a 12, rolled a 10) but the slices into the wolfs side (needed a 12, rolled a 20) with a shower of blood.

By Daren who plays Mandrake

Another miss

Mandrake adjusts his aim and after re-loading the sling fires another shot at the same doghead.

"Damn" he curses under his breath as the projectile, though closer, misses, passing the creature by on the other side as a result of Mandrake's over compensation.

OOC: Well, that's it for me. I'm off to Ireland until 3rd January, gales in the Irish Sea permitting of course. Have a good holiday season and may the New Millennium be good to you all.

By Ian who plays Peter

Yee Hah

Peter falls to the floor but swings wildly with his dagger and catches the wolf in the flank.

OOC 2 pts damage

By Jim who plays Smilo

Take That

Smilo fishes a bullet out of his pouch, his hands shaking. It was
so easy to knock birds from trees, but when someone was attacking...
He spun his sling until it hummed in the air, then let fly. The
shot thudded into the monster [Dp, 4 points].

By Lance who plays Elsbeth

Beyond help

As Aenis gives his last, Elsbeth feels the tears fall on the lifeless man's body. This was not how her adventure was supposed to start. Still oblivious to the arrows falling about her and even more oblivious to the wolf near her, she feels a hint of rage inside. "Its not fair," she whispers.

Looking up, the Druid sees the cause of her pain, of the man's death. Hardly thinking, she points a shaking finger at the bow-laden doghead, speaking words she won't remember, calling upon the spirits to assist, to hold.

[Hold Person- should work on humanoid monsters as well. Either way, she doesn't care and tries.]
